Wilhelms Lieblingsort

I read with interest the update on the Luckenwalde hat factory which originally belonged to my family. My grandfather was Salomon Herrmann; I was born Judith Jenny Herrmann in Berlin in 1937 and fled to Australia during 1938, arriving in Melbourne in 1939.
My grandmother, Salomon Herrmann's widow, Emma, died in Therezienstadt in 1941; I still treasure a letter she wrote to me for my fourth birthday in May of that year.
My husband, Dr Peter Schiff, also born in Berlin, and I have seen the ruins of the hat factory a few years ago and would be most interested to be kept informed of its new lease of life.
